No quiz

I was so mad today when I got to class and an announcement was made that we are not having an exam today.....arrrgghhhhh....And would you believe the lecturer's excuse for not having the quiz is he had printing problems??
I'm happy I did not have a quiz but with all the studying, cramming, late nights, for a quiz i'm not having is BS!!!
But we will be having the quiz next week, so I guess I have more time to study.

Cramming for quiz

OK, so today is my Quantatitive Methods(QM) quiz and I am cramming as usual. Trying to stuff as much as I can in my brains. Pray for me.

I am finally done with at least one of my assignments, which is due today. So, one more assignment to go, which is due this Saturday. And boy is this project hard. I am to rewrite a program in C language to JAVA, which I know LITTLE about!! This is going to be challenging. Believe it or not, I love a challenge.
Then I have a quiz on Saturday......*sigh*.....revisions are going well, so by Saturday I should be prepared.

Two assignments due next week and a quiz...*sigh*

The school term started about three weeks ago, and now I have about two assignments due this coming week, and a quiz. Today we had a review of what the quiz will be like, and boy am I behind, I believe all of us were. Boy, will I be studying hard for this quiz, because I do not want any bad grades, NOT ONE!!!!

H.E.L.P with textbooks

Well today I found out that the Government has a program called HELP where they will give students a loan to help with expenses as a student, eg. textbooks, transportation etc. So I will be investigating more on this, hopefully on Friday, cause God knows I need my textbooks!!

My first post

Yesterday, I've decided to start my own blog about my rough and harrrddd journey as a part time student towards graduation.

I decided to pursue my degree after unsuccessful attempts to change my current job at the time. I was paid below minimum wage, with no benefits, and just didn’t see a future there. At that time I lived in Tortola, British Virgin Islands where, in my opinion, the school system isn't up to par. So I decided to move back to my homeland Trinidad. I found myself with another job as the previous one but worse. My job depresses me everyday, but I keep telling myself there are lots of people out there who wished they had a job so I learned to be content.

I began college in September 2008. So here I am, in my second year of college with one or two more semesters to go. The road so far, has been reallll bumpy. Lots of days I find myself sleeping in the taxi on my way to school because I was overwhelmed with tiredness. I am learning to be disciplined when it comes to studying, and completing assignments. Two semesters ago I did HORRIBLE!! Tears almost came to my eyes when I saw two Fs and one D on my report card. I must say I did a little better last semester, I got one B, D, and two Cs. This semester I am determined to get As and Bs. Because of those dreaded Fs my GPA dropped drastically so my mission is to change my GPA to 3.0
So I will be blogging until VICTORY!!!
